Parents Anonymous® Informational Session (2 clock hours) Description of Program: This 2-hour informational session will introduce the Parents Anonymous® model and structure, with a particular focus on parent recruitment strategies. Participants will be challenged to develop plans on how to infuse on-going parent support and advocacy efforts for families into their current infrastructure. At the end of the informational session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the Parents Anonymous® framework of mutual support and shared leadership;
- Develop an action plan for parent leadership and advocacy; and
- Obtain a community mapping plan to increase agency collaboration efforts.
