FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 2008

Family Resource Center Accreditation Renewed

St. Louis, MO – Family Resource Center (FRC), a St. Louis-based non-profit dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse, is pleased to announce the agency’s accreditation has been renewed by the Council on Accreditation (COA), the premier international agency accrediting community-based social and behavioral health care services.

The Council on Accreditation’s (COA) performs a detailed review and analysis of applicant organizations’ administrative operations and service delivery against national standards of best practice. COA partners with human service organizations worldwide to improve service delivery outcomes and also provides accredited organizations with the benefits of educational opportunities and access to its network of sponsoring and accredited organizations.

"Family Resource Center is proud of the honor of accreditation by the Council on Accreditation,” said FRC Executive Director Greg Echele. “We have built our agency on the commitment to providing client families and children with the highest levels of service. The Council’s confirmation that FRC provides our client families and children with the level of service that meets best practices standards is most gratifying to the many FRC professionals and clients who participated over the past several months in the lengthy and rigorous review process.”

Before granting Family Resource Center with their four-year accreditation, the Council on Accreditation reviewed all of the agency’s services, including family therapy, family reunification, foster care, adoption support, therapeutic day care and Parent’s Anonymous support group programs. The agency’s human resources, administrative and financial functions as well as the organization’s ethics were also closely scrutinized in the accreditation process.
